SUBMISSION 1 – “Judas Kiss”
Independent Feature Film Deadline: 8/29/10 Limit – 2 songs per submission.
Zachary Wells (Charlie David) is convinced by his best friend and hotshot
director into replacing him as a judge in their film school's annual
festival. Zach's one-night stand with a student backfires when that student
walks into an interview the next morning calling himself Danny Reyes( Richard
Harmon), the name Zach went by when he attended the school. And Danny's film,
"Judas Kiss," is a finalist in the competition Zach is judging.
Zach's film, also "Judas Kiss," won the festival years before. Zach
scrambles for answers. A mysterious, chain-smoking campus tour guide, counsels
him: "Change the kid's past, change your future." But how? Zach comes
to believe he can mend his life by disqualifying Danny from competition,
putting him on a different path than Zach followed. But will Zach's plan work?
SEEKING: Pop/rock
soulful ballads(definitely NOT love songs). Lyrics concerning coming of age, redemption.
Can be mid or uptempo tracks. MP3s OK.
SUBMISSION 2 – “Hemingway
and Gellhorn” – HBO Film Deadline 8/29/10
– Limit 2 songs/artist
SYNOPSIS: In 1936, Ernest Hemingway (Clive Owen) was already a legend when he
met Gellhorn, a novelist and one of the greatest war correspondents of the 20th
Century, in a local bar in Key West. Their tumultuous romance and subsequent
5-year marriage took them to the Spanish Civil War as Gellhorn(Kidman) stood
toe-to-toe with the literary master, putting his famous bravado and iconic
style to the test. Gellhorn's competitive nature inspired the novelist to pen
one of its most famous novels, "For Whom The Bell Tolls".
SEEKING: Looking for all tempos of music
that would have been prevalent during this period . Labels with 1930's and '40s
is the deal; especially instrumental jazz pieces like those of Duke Ellington.
Also much in evidence during this time frame was Cuban music so with or without
vocals from that same era would be great.
SUBMISSION 3 – “Sports TV”
ESPN Deadline 8/29/10 – Limit 2 songs/artist
Major
League Baseball (MLB) is a staple of ESPN's coverage viewed by millions
throughout the year.
SEEKING: High energy hip hop, and rock
tracks. If you see ESPN coverage you will get a feel of what is required.
